Tax Receipts FAQ

Tax receipts/statements are prepared by your service provider, such as your school or childcare organization. Once available, they will be sent to you by email and made available in your TUIO parent portal for download.

Please find instructions below for commonly asked questions: 

Is a tax receipt available in my portal?

Yes. If your school has generated a tax receipt or payment statement for you, it may be available for download directly from your TUIO parent portal.

Your school may also send the receipt to you by email as an attachment. If you do not see it in your portal, please contact your school directly to confirm whether the receipt has been prepared and shared.

Can TUIO provide a tax receipt?

No, tax receipts are generated and distributed by the school to ensure that the report details can be tailored to meet specific needs, such as the relevant program scope and date range.

Can TUIO provide a T2202?

No, the T2202 - Tuition and Enrolment Certificate - forms are standardized by the CRA and are prepared by the designated educational institution (school). As TUIO is not the service provider, we do not have access to all the necessary information to create these documents, such as the filer account number, student number, and SIN.

Can TUIO provide a 1098-T?

No, the 1098-T - Tuition Statement forms are standardized by the IRS and must be prepared by the eligible educational institution (school). As TUIO is not the service provider, we do not have access to the necessary information required to produce these documents, such as the filer’s EIN and the student’s TIN.

Can receipts be re-sent?

Absolutely! To obtain another copy of your receipt, please reach out directly to the school who issued it.
