Tax Receipts FAQ

Tax receipts/statements can be prepared by the service provider (school) and sent out via email to your TUIO account email.

Please find instructions below for commonly asked questions: 

Is a tax receipt available in my portal?

No, tax receipts are not available for manual download from the parent portal. Instead, these receipts are provided directly by the school and are included as attachments in the emails sent to you.

Can TUIO provide a tax receipt?

No, tax receipts are generated and distributed by the school to ensure that the report details can be tailored to meet specific needs, such as the relevant program scope and date range.

Can TUIO provide a T2202?

No, the T2202 - Tuition and Enrolment Certificate - forms are standardized by the CRA and are prepared by the designated educational institution (school). As TUIO is not the service provider, we do not have access to all the necessary information to create these documents, such as the filer account number, student number, and SIN.

Can TUIO provide a 1098-T?

No, the 1098-T - Tuition Statement forms are standardized by the IRS and must be prepared by the eligible educational institution (school). As TUIO is not the service provider, we do not have access to the necessary information required to produce these documents, such as the filer’s EIN and the student’s TIN.

Can receipts be re-sent?

Absolutely! To obtain another copy of your receipt, please reach out directly to the school who issued it.
